I AM A #DETROITWINNER!
For the past few months we’ve been rocking the #DetroitWinner all over the place! We’ve taken it to the Riverfront, Charles H. Wright Museum, local clinics, neighborhood community centers, Eastern Market, and tons of other spots throughout Detroit.
You are a #DetroitWinner because you represent Detroit! Let’s say this together, loud and proud:
I am a #DetroitWinner because:
- I inspire and empower others
- I do my best for my children
- I do my best for my community
- I support local businesses
- I am all about the Detroit Tigers, Lions, and Red Wings (oh my!)
- I keep my community clean and safe
- I do the best I can for Detroit
Are you with us? Let’s all be #DetroitWinner!
Here are some #DetroitWinners
Ronda is a member with us through as a Real Mom of Detroit. She was pregnant when she first became a part of the program. Through her deep bond with her community Neighborhood Navigator, Nada, she was able to attain a job and resources for her family. Watch her story here.
Here is a group of WIN Network: Detroit volunteers who lent a helping hand at our Real Moms of Detroit Expo in Chadsey-Condon at Carter Metropolitan CME Church. They handled kids activities, and assisted with the grocery giveaway from Forgotten Harvest. Check out the pics from the event here.
Linda Reyes, Community Neighborhood Navigator in Brightmoor, is a go to resources for moms and families in the Brightmoor area. This quote shows us why this work is important to her, “I’m a part of making change, not just for the one community, but for the whole city of Detroit.” Watch her interview here.
This baby is a #DetroitWinner because she’s too cute! Also, this Alice Walker quote is a #DetroitWinner because it’s so inspiring: “The nature of this flower is to bloom.”
