Senior Volunteering

Dear Winnie,

My name is Geraldine and I would like to find help for people. What can I do ? I am a senior.

Hi Geraldine,

It’s amazing that you want to help people. Find what you are passionate about and volunteer in that area. Many organizations need seniors with wisdom to  share:

  • Volunteer Match lists volunteer opportunities for seniors in Detroit.
  • Bridging Communities, Inc. is a grassroots collaboration involving local unions, businesses, residents, social service and faith-based organizations working together to create caring communities where people of all ages can live in dignity in Southwest Detroit.

Also WIN Network is always looking for volunteers for different activities, events and promotions. Please call (313-874-2182) or email (jdanie12@hfhs.org)  our communications coordinator to learn more.

Any organization would be lucky to have your help.

WINNIE
