Is it a good idea to schedule a C-section, so I can be more prepared for birth?

Great question!

If your pregnancy and baby are healthy and don’t have complications, you should wait for labor to begin naturally. Scheduling a C-section can seem like a good option because it takes away the worry of going into labor when you least expect it, but your baby needs every minute he or she can get inside your womb to grow big and strong. The last days and weeks of pregnancy are so important for the growth and development of your baby, reaching your due date will always be worth the wait and the uncertainty of when you will start labor. Lean on your friends and family for support in the last weeks of your pregnancy – you can make it until the end!

You can read more about why it’s important to wait for labor to begin on its own here.
